Basilard BioTech was formed on July 1, 2019 as a spin out from the University of California Riverside (UCR) by it’s founders, serial entrepreneur and experienced Transactional CEO Brynley Lee, and Associate Professor at UCR Dr. Masa Rao. The two had worked together from late 2018 within UCR’s technology incubator, where Mr. Lee was the CEO-In-Residence, to prepare for the commercial launch of Basilard. The company’s foundational technology, Celletto™, is covered by IP the company has exclusively licensed from the UC Regents. It was invented and validated by Dr. Rao over the course of a decade of NIH-funded research in his lab at UCR.
The company is currently fabricating its first generation of commercially viable prototypes.
